Electric Laundry – The Best Place to Get a Custom EDC Outfit

by

At HowToEDC, we’re all about bringing our fans to the attention the best places to eat, best places to stay, and where all the EDC action is.  With that said, we want to let all of our lady fans out there to know the best kept secret when it comes to custom rave & EDM event outfits.

The business we are about to highlight is legit!

Here’s the deal, we have no affiliation with them.  In fact, they have no idea who we are and that we’re raving fans of their company.  No one knows actually.  Maybe because it can be seen as weird for two dudes to be ogling over a company that makes raving clothing for women.

The business we’re talking about is Electric Laundry.

We love them!  Here’s a picture of them from their Facebook page.

The Ladies of Electric Laundry

I believe that’s Tanya, Rachel, and Sara in respective order.  Juan and Michael round out the rest of the crew not shown.

Electric Laundry is responsible for making some of the best rave outfits for women that we have ever seen at EDM events.

The outfits they create have a nice balance between elegance and thematic design.  That’s a combination, believe it or not, that is very difficult to perfect because often times custom or homemade outfits can come off as tacky and just plain silly.

Electric Laundry creates professional handcrafted rave outfits.

Their custom designs, often inspired by fictional characters, have been seen on a few celebrities such as Holly Madison to the countless amounts of rave fans out there.   I’ve seen them up close and personal on girls and they look amazing.

Here are a few pictures of the rave outfits they create.  It will help give you an idea on the quality of the piece you get if you purchase an outfit from them.  If I had a girlfriend, she would totally be rockin’ custom Electric Laundry.  And I would be extra proud walking into EDC with her next to me.

About Electric Laundry

To be honest, there isn’t a whole lot of info about the company on the internet.  They don’t have a website and they don’t create in mass since every order is custom made and unique.  I’ll make sure that I get in contact with them to do a proper interview (if anyone can help make that happen, send us a message or email).

Naturally, you can find them living on social media.  That’s how I found them.  They have a large presence on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Tumblr. So now that you know, tell your friends!

How to Order from Electric Laundry

If you want to know the full details on their outfits such as costs, sizes, add-ons, and ordering, your best bet is to go to their Facebook Page and click on the “ABOUT” section of their profile.   There you will find an extensive FAQ with all the information you will need to make a better purchase decision.

How it works is simple.  You send them an email at electriclaundry@gmail.com with the following information:

  • Your name
  • Bra size
  • If you want bottoms, a tutu, a headband, a bustle, a detachable hood, LEDs, or EL Wire.
  • Your theme, color scheme, any specific details, and the general direction of the outfit you want created
  • The date of your event
  • The state & country it will be shipped to

From there, you send over your payment once you agree on a direction of the outfit.  At that point, you are entrusting Electric Laundry to use their imagination and creativity to create the piece for you.

In their words, Electric Laundry is not a Build-A-Bra Workshop.  They have full and complete creative freedom to make the outfit based on your initial input and general direction.

Generally speaking, custom bras start at $65 and go up from there based on the amount of detailing you would like incorporated into the design.  All bottoms, which includes basic booty shorts and undies, start at $45 and go up in price depending on detailing.  They also sell tutus, bustles, and fanny packs.

If you or your girl is looking for a rave outfit that will be sure to turn heads, then Electric Laundry is who you want to go with.  As I mentioned earlier, we have no affiliation with them.  So we can honestly say that we love what they do and love what they make.

That’s cool and all these females were able to make a company out of something so easy but honestly, How to EDC, it would have been cheaper and better to post an article about how to make your own EDC outfit.

It’s super easy to do at home and you can outfits as good if not better than Electric Laundry that’s way cheaper than what Electric Laundry costs. Plus, you’re able to add your own personal touch to it. All you need it hot glue and whatever materials you need. You can even browse ELs photos for ideas. There’s tons of “how to’s” about making your own rave outfit on tumblr and pinterest. I’ve always made my own outfits and it rarely goes over $40 where as I think the usually price of an EL outfit is around $120?

I can honestly say my craft techniques are poor. I have tried to create my own bras and they do not turn out looking as good and professional as EL’s.

That said, i rather spend 65 on a properly made bra than 40 on my own which comes out subpar.

      Hey Jenn,

We got you. We’re working on some content to address some of the concerns you addressed above. After all, we’re Frugal ourselves at H2edc!

We highlighted EL specifically if you want to buy a professional made-for-you custom rave outfit. Some people, simply don’t have the skills, know-how, or time to create homemade outfits even if you give them a step-by-step guide! Haha. We totally get where you’re coming from and we’ll have some info on it soon.

Jenn, I totally agree. Don’t get me wrong, the girls at EL make really nice stuff, but its so much more personal when you make your own bra. And it’s so much easier than it looks. too! The whole process was amazing; I made 3 outfits for EDC myself this year, and I started from pencil and paper. The entire process from planning them out, drawing them, buying everythign and then putting them together. I really honestly only spent an average of $30-40/outfit (including tulle for my matching tutus!)!
